I have been writing my entire professional career. My first genre was corporate memos. I was AWESOME at those! Then I moved onto content writing like website descriptions and blog posts. I started writing non-fiction and in 2022, became a published author. I am currently writing my first novel, and it is an experience unlike any other I have had. It is both easy and hard...transformative and frustrating. The story is in the Magical Realism genre and follows Charlie as he realizes his life of bad luck and bad timing have all be preparing him for the ultimate test of his inner strength.

As a Discovery Writer, I learn about the story as I write it.
I feel that I am not so much writing the novel, as I am receiving it. I don't have ideas and brainstorming sessions about character traits, I learn about them as I put the words on the page. I have no idea what will happen next, until it happens. This has allowed me to be the original reader of my novel, learning about the characters and their struggles and triumphs as they are put on the page. I have laughed, cried and been shocked as the story has unfolded before me.
